Wonderland Children’s Center has been offering quality childcare to the children of Westminster and nearby towns in Carroll County since 1994 and is located just off Rt. 140 near the Townmall of Westminster. A recent expansion and addition of a new building brings their capacity up to 90 children so plenty of openings are now available. Wonderland Children’s Center accepts children as young as 2 years through the summer after 5th grade.

An extremely low staff and child turnover means your child will make and keep friends and their teachers and child care providers will really get to know them. The entire staff is First Aid and CPR trained. The staff is also MMSR trained for evaluating your children which makes sure that the care and instruction your preschool age children are receiving is preparing them for the Carroll County School system.

Wonderland Children's Center has 4 classrooms as well as an additional building with a large room full of toys, games, books, a computer station and other fun and educational toys.

Our staff are credentialed through the Maryland State Dept. of Education, Office of Child Care and are recognized as a teacher of quality care. We are also currently in the process of being accredited by Maryland State Department of Education to be acknowledged as a center of quality care.

Parents may have a computer at home or the preschool may have one in the classroom, but a specially trained teacher is the catalyst for learning! Young students have a wonderful time reinforcing their academic readiness skills, exploring their artistic flair for art and music, and using exciting peripherals such as robots, digital microscopes and movie cameras in CTCE classes.

COMPUTERTOTS teachers are particularly trained in how to use the computer as a learning tool with young children. They encourage their students to accept challenges and to work collaboratively with their peers. In small groups of 3-4 children, our CTCE students find the computer is a tool, not a toy!
